Edvardas Racius

Edvardas Racius is a Partner Expert and Attorney at Law with 14 years of experience advising and representing clients in high-value and complex commercial disputes, mediation, and strategic commercial negotiations.

He has represented clients before the Lithuanian courts, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), and international commercial arbitral tribunals conducted under, inter alia, the ICC and VCAA rules. Edvardas has acted in some of Lithuania’s most significant commercial disputes, including landmark proceedings before the CJEU with implications extending across the European Union, as well as disputes arising from infrastructure projects critical to Lithuania’s energy independence.

Construction and infrastructure disputes represent a significant area of Edvardas’s practice. He advises contractors, employers and other project stakeholders on both dispute prevention and dispute resolution matters arising from the design, construction and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, particularly under FIDIC contracts. His experience includes projects in the energy sector, railway infrastructure, including railway electrification projects, and maritime and inland waterway infrastructure. A significant part of his experience relates to waste and hazardous waste management, mechanical-biological treatment (MBT), wastewater and sludge treatment, and other environmental projects.

Beyond infrastructure and environmental projects, Edvardas has advised and represented clients in a broad range of complex commercial disputes and proceedings, including high-value shareholder disputes, financial services litigation, matters involving international sanctions and anti-money laundering (AML), civil and professional liability, invalidity of contracts, insurance, transport (road, maritime and aviation), land ownership, as well as jurisdictional matters and the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards.
