Representing 18 Nordic Partners group companies in a EUR 8,2 million claim for damages

WALLESS successfully represented 18 Nordic Partners group companies and three private individuals in the claim for damages in the amount of more than EUR 8,2 million. The case obtained wide resonance in Latvia. WALLESS has succeeded in lifting attachment of bank accounts for 25 clients. In the course of dispute resolution, several shortcomings in the legal regulations of the Civil Procedure Law have surfaced, and the lawyers of the firm submitted in the name of the client the respective legislative proposal to the legislator of the Republic of Latvia and this resulted in making amendments to the rules of the Civil Procedure Law relating to securing of claims.
After several years of disputes and proceedings, the parties reached an amicable settlement.
