2021 03 19

WALLESS partner prof. dr. Simona Drukteinienė was designated to the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators for the Settlement of Investment Disputes by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. The designation is for a period of six years.

International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) is the world’s leading institution devoted to international investment dispute settlement. It has extensive experience in this field, having administered the majority of all international investment cases. States have agreed on ICSID as a forum for investor-State dispute settlement in most international investment treaties and in numerous investment laws and contracts.

Furthermore, ICSID is one of the five organizations of the World Bank Group, along with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Development Association (IDA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). All organisations work on a shared goal to end extreme poverty within a generation and to boost shared prosperity.

ICSID contributes to reducing poverty by providing facilities for conciliation and arbitration of international investment disputes.

Congratulations!
