WALLESS successfully represented ŠKODA VAGONKA a.s.

WALLESS successfully represented manufacturer of electric passenger trains ŠKODA VAGONKA a.s. in challenging Latvian public transport service provider’s AS “Pasažieru vilciens” decision on the results of the negotiation procedure “Delivery of suburban electric passenger trains and equipment necessary for their maintenance and staff training”.
The negotiation procedure is organised to purchase 32 new suburban electric passenger trains. The total value of the procurement is above EUR 200 million.
WALLESS assisted ŠKODA VAGONKA a.s. in drafting an application to challenge the public service provider’s decision as well as represented the client before the Procurement Monitoring Bureau of Latvia. The decision of “Pasažieru vilciens” on the results of the negotiation procedure was set-aside by the Bureau, prohibiting the public service provider to enter into the procurement contract with the announced winner of the procurement “Patentes Talgo S.L.” – a Spanish manufacturer of passenger trains – and obligating it to eliminate the infringements of the procurement procedure determined by the Procurement Monitoring Bureau.
