Ernestas Jakubauskas

Ernestas is a lawyer with an extensive legal background spanning over a decade in the highest courts of Lithuania. With two years of experience in the Court of Appeals, followed by an eight-year tenure in the Supreme Court, Ernestas brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the legal system. He has worked on many of the largest and most complex cases in Lithuania, making substantial contributions to the development of jurisprudence across various domains, including European Union law, international law, arbitration, international litigation, industrial property protection, and the safeguarding of human rights, among others. He has also been involved in assessing draft legislation and proposing improvements to laws, providing insights to both the Parliament of Lithuania and the European Commission. Ernestas is exceptionally skilled at discovering creative solutions to complex legal problems involving differences between legal systems, controversial case law, regulatory gaps, or uncertainties.
