Representation of Ministry of Rural Affairs in land reform disputes

Partner Piret Kergandberg and Senior Associate Priit Lember successfully defended the Ministry of Rural Affairs in several land reform cases. As a result of 1990s land reform, several land parcels were not returned to the heirs of former prime minister Jaan Tõnisson. Instead the land remained in state posession. The heirs have made numerous attempts to reverse the land reform and gain posession of the disputed land parcels. The courts ruled in our favour and dismissed the claims.
