Who is responsible for cybersecurity, and what does it take to make Latvia more resilient?
Cybersecurity is a challenge that no single team or organisation can tackle alone.
As part of the Women in Tech conference at RIGA COMM 2026, WALLESS Associate Partner Arina Stivrina joined the panel discussion ”Cybersecurity is Everyone’s Business: Building a More Resilient Latvia” to explore how different sectors can contribute to a safer digital environment.
Together with Anna Badaeva (Women4Cyber Latvia / Tonybet), Juris Aksels Cirulis (Government’s Digital Academy) and Zanda Jurgenberga (LMT), the discussion explored the role of people, organisations and leadership in strengthening cybersecurity.
Technology alone cannot ensure cyber resilience. While no organisation or individual can tackle cyber threats alone, everyone can help reduce risks by raising awareness, recognising threats and developing responsible digital habits. Organisations must also have the right safeguards in place and be prepared to respond to incidents.
A big thank you to Riga TechGirls for organising the conference and for the invitation to take part in this important conversation.
