What does it take for a Turkish fintech or digital asset business to enter the European market?
The event “Scaling from Türkiye to Europe: The MiCA Path” was held by Paribu on September 24 in Istanbul, together with the UN:BLOCK team and Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA). WALLESS Senior Associate Elīna Dindendorfa and Associate Partner and Attorney at Law Arina Stivriņa attended the event, with Arina joining a panel discussion alongside Sadiye Demir, Gustavs Lapiņš, Alex Novozhenov and Reinis Znotiņš.
The discussion focused on MiCA, the EU’s regulatory framework for crypto-assets and related services, and the key considerations for Turkish businesses looking to expand into Europe. The conversation also covered cross-border cooperation, tokenisation and emerging payment technologies.
Thank you for bringing together experts from Latvia and Türkiye and for the opportunity to contribute to this timely discussion.
