WALLESS strengthens its team with three experienced lawyers | Rauno Klemm · Liisi Kents · Katri Remmelgas

2026 08 10

Three experienced lawyers are joining WALLESS: Senior Associates Rauno Klemm and Liisi Kents, and Associate Katri Remmelgas. Over the past five years, they have worked together as KPMG Law’s regulatory team, advising clients at every key stage of the business lifecycle —from market entry, implementing change and negotiating and concluding contracts to resolving disputes with administrative authorities and other market participants.

Their arrival further strengthens WALLESS’s capabilities in regulatory law, public procurement, dispute resolution, and banking and financial services regulation.

“Clients’ legal issues increasingly span multiple areas of law. Regulation is also becoming more detailed. This calls for broad advisory capability and deep specialist expertise. Rauno, Katri and Liisi strengthen our ability to address complex regulatory matters and, where needed, integrate that work with dispute resolution, transactions and other areas of law,” said Karl-Erich Trisberg, Managing Partner of WALLESS Estonia.

Rauno Klemm has more than 15 years of experience in public procurement, contract law and dispute resolution. He has advised public- and private-sector clients on complex procurement matters, transactions and disputes, and brings extensive experience in dealing with administrative authorities and managing regulatory risk.

Liisi Kents has more than ten years of experience in civil dispute resolution and advising clients on regulatory matters, including commercial, employment and contract law. In addition to being qualified in Estonia, she holds a Master of Laws degree and is admitted to practise in the State of New York, which supports her work with international clients and cross-border matters.

Katri Remmelgas has worked with the banking and financial services sector for more than a decade. Her experience includes advising companies when new business models, financial services or regulatory change call for a thorough assessment of the applicable legal framework and operational requirements.

Rauno Klemm said the move reflects a broader shift in what clients expect from legal advisers: “The legal landscape is becoming more complex and more international. Clients increasingly expect to find all the expertise they need in one place. Each area of law also demands ever deeper specialisation. WALLESS has successfully brought these needs together: clients receive an integrated and straightforward solution, backed by leading specialists in every relevant area of law. A further advantage is the firm’s forward-looking approach to adopting new technologies.”
