Partner Sintija Radionova discusses financing Europe’s resilience and growth at The Rīga Conference
“Europe has spent many years making the environment more resilient. But I think now it’s time to make it more proportionate, straightforward and accessible for investments to happen.”
This was one of the key points shared by WALLESS Partner Sintija Radionova during the “Financing Resilience and Growth” panel discussion at The Rīga Conference.
The discussion brought together Paulina Brzežicka from the European Investment Bank (EIB), Arnis Skapars from SEB Latvija, Maija Celmiņa from the European Commission, Andris Strazds from Latvijas Banka, and WALLESS Partner Sintija Radionova to explore how Europe can finance resilience and growth while creating the right conditions for investment.
A particular focus was placed on defense investment and the opportunities and challenges shaping financing in the Baltic region.
As Europe strengthens its resilience and defense capabilities, the question is not only where investment should come from, but also whether the regulatory and financing environment makes it sufficiently straightforward for that investment to happen.
