WALLESS Explains Dispute Between Tootsi and Elering Regarding Renewable Energy Support Scheme Implementation

In a comment to Äripäev, WALLESS partner Piret Kergandberg and head of energy law Edgar-Kaj Velbri explained the dispute between the developer of Tootsi wind farm and electricity and gas system operator Elering regarding the implementation of the previous renewable energy support scheme. There are currently several similar legal disputes pending in Estonia, and the final settlement of these disputes depends on the interpretation given by the European Court of Justice to the Estonian state aid permission. The reference for a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice was made by Piret Kergandberg and Edgar-Kaj Velbri concerning renewable energy subsidies.
