Kristīne Gaigule-Šāvēja moderates a discussion at Newsec Property Outlook Riga event 2026
Are real estate investments finally on the rise?
Economic conditions, financing opportunities and changing consumer behaviour all play a role in shaping the real estate market. However, the numbers speak for themselves: Baltic real estate investment volume has already exceeded EUR 1.1 billion in 2026, compared with approximately EUR 616 million for the whole of 2025.
So, is the market finally moving upwards?
On 14 October, WALLESS Partner and Attorney at Law Kristīne Gaigule-Šāvēja moderated the panel discussion ”Investments: What Lies Ahead?” at the Newsec Property Outlook Riga event 2026.
Bringing together perspectives from across the real estate sector, the discussion explored the key factors influencing investment and development decisions, as well as the opportunities and challenges shaping the market’s future.
A big thank you to Newsec for bringing industry professionals together and to our panellists, Oto Davidovs (Merito Real Estate Fund), Frode Gronvold (Linstow Baltic), Lauri Henno (Nuve Partners), Sandijs Martinovs (Newsec), and Henrik Veldi (Duck Republik) for sharing their valuable insights and perspectives.
The figures give us reason for optimism. Let’s keep on moving to turn this momentum into sustainable growth.
