Building registration from 2026 – single application procedure

Since 6 January 2026, building registration in Latvia has followed a unified process, making the completion of construction works more efficient. 

Instead of submitting separate applications to multiple authorities, developers can now complete the process with one application submitted via the Construction Information System (BIS). This single submission ensures both the registration of the building in the Cadastre and the recording of ownership rights in the Land Register.
