Supreme Court upholds building permit for historic Bath House redevelopment in Liepāja
A significant legal dispute concerning the redevelopment of the historic Bath House in Liepāja has come to a successful conclusion.
The Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of Latvia refused to initiate cassation proceedings, finding no grounds to question the lawfulness of the judgment of the Administrative Regional Court. As a result, the judgment has entered into legal force, bringing the proceedings to a final conclusion and confirming the validity of the building permit, allowing the redevelopment project to proceed.
The redevelopment project includes the construction of a new building alongside the preservation and restoration of the historic Bath House, helping to preserve one of Liepāja’s historic landmarks.
WALLESS represented a Lithuanian-based investor throughout the proceedings, with legal support provided by WALLESS Partner Sandis Bērtaitis and Senior Associate Laura Baumane.
