What does it take to build a well-governed fintech business? This topic was discussed at the Fintech Board Member Education event, which was jointly organized by the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance, The Institute of Internal Auditors Lithuania | Vidaus auditorių asociacija, Fintech Hub LT, and Risk Management Association | Rizikos valdymo asociacija.
WALLESS partner Joana Baublytė-Kulvietė contributed to the event by sharing her insights on the duties and responsibilities of directors. The discussion encompassed the necessity of a proper governance structure, the supervisory function within a fintech company, as well as the importance of independent board members. Participants also gained valuable knowledge on board member liability and strategies to mitigate it.
This event represented the second gathering of fintech professionals, serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise. Additionally, all profits from the event will be donated to the Blue / Yellow for Ukraine organization.
