Deeptech Baltics: ideas are here. Talent is here. But is the capital here? According to the Baltic Deep Tech Report 2025, deeptech already accounts for 13.5% of regional startups, while attracting nearly half of all startup funding. Combined valuations have nearly tripled in five years, from €2.6bn to €7.5bn.
So what is missing? As WALLESS Partner Andrius Ivanauskas points out in Verslo žinios, the money still tends to run out at the wrong moment. Early rounds are increasingly fundable, but when biotech, laser, energy or defence companies need serious later-stage capital that matches their long development cycles, they are still often forced to look abroad.
