The Baltics are rapidly becoming a strategic hub for defence innovation.
The defence and security sector in the Baltics is already becoming stronger, and important discussions about its future are taking place right now. Last week WALLESS joined industry leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers at the Kurzeme Business Forum – Baltic Defence Investment Pitch 2025 in Ventspils.
WALLESS Partner Sintija Radionova shared practical insights on how companies can prepare for fundraising and which legal elements determine the pace and success of defence-tech projects. Clear legal architecture often becomes the decisive factor between a promising idea and real investment.
In the second part of the event, the Pitch session highlighted defence-tech innovators with strong business potential and clear product vision, including AGM Orthopaedics, Biorefic NRG, Airglade, and Ascent Lumina. All these companies received WALLESS recognition awards for their forward-looking ideas and contribution to strengthening the Baltic defence innovation landscape. In addition, WALLESS awarded the Pitch winner with 10 hours of legal support, helping transform promising concepts into investment-ready, scalable ventures.
One message resonated throughout the forum: The Baltics are already establishing itself as a significant player in defence industry development, enabled by close and consistent cooperation between businesses, government institutions, and investors.
