WALLESS experts at the Public Procurement 2025 | Viešieji pirkimai 2025 conference
Effective prevention, open dialogue with institutions, and a unified trust-based approach are essential to avoid expensive loss of EU funding. This was the main message shared by WALLESS Partner Laura Ziferman, who moderated the financial corrections discussion – a topic where bureaucracy, risk management, and the protection of EU funds meet – at Viešieji pirkimai 2025, organised by Verslo žinios.
Associate Partner Giedrė Banytė-Mačionė also took the stage to present the key proposals of the new Public Procurement Law project. From shortening the “blacklist” term for unreliable suppliers to systemising national security compliance checks, the measures are designed to strengthen transparency and simplify public procurement procedures but also raise questions about how they will work in practice.
The line-up of experts discussed reforms, risks, and the future direction of procurement in practice, and we say thank you to Verslo žinios for opportunities like these to be a part of the dialogue!
