WALLESS and Fintech Latvia Association discuss modernisation of Latvia’s fiscalisation framework
Latvia’s fiscalisation framework no longer fully keeps pace with technological and market developments. In practice, this can result in additional costs and administrative complexity for businesses implementing innovative solutions.
WALLESS Associated Partner Arina Stivriņa, together with the Fintech Latvia Association, met with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia to discuss the development of an updated online fiscalisation model. The discussion focused on ensuring data integrity while creating a framework that is clear, proportionate and workable in practice.
The ongoing exchange of ideas is an important step towards aligning the system with today’s technological realities.
From the industry’s perspective, future regulation should be technically sound, proportionate and supportive of innovation, not a barrier to it.
WALLESS remains actively engaged in the regulatory process, representing the sector’s interests in dialogue with public authorities, ensuring that the new model supports both integrity and business development.
