GDPR consent: what does it actually cover? Guoda Šileikytė on LRT Radijas

GDPR consent does not automatically mean permission to use personal data in every context. What the data will be used for, where it may appear, and for what purpose should be clear at the moment consent is given. 

With the new school year approaching, an example is students’ photos. Permission given to a school to photograph a student does not necessarily mean permission to publish that image.
