Congratulations to WALLESS partner, attorney-at-law professor Dr. Simona Drukteiniene for her impressive achievement! On August 16, 2023, Simona was appointed as a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
Established in 1907, the PCA holds a significant role as an arbitral tribunal, offering its services to settle complex disputes that arise from international agreements. These disputes cover a broad range of legal matters, including territorial boundaries, human rights, sovereignty, international investment, and global trade. What adds to its uniqueness is that this international institution was founded through two multilateral Hague Conventions, bringing together 122 states!
WALLESS is excited to share that Simona Drukteiniene joins an exceptional unit of newly appointed members of the National Arbitration Tribunal. This illustrious group includes newly appointed professor Dr Danutė Jočienė, assistant professor Dr Goda Anbrasaitė-Balynienė, and professor Dr Justinas Žilinskas, whose mandate has been extended.
Kudos to all Lithuanian experts on reaching this momentous milestone!
