Discussion on future steps to advance Europe’s competitiveness
Can Europe turn from being a follower to becoming an innovator in the global economic transformation? Or does it regulate too early and too much and is failing to create incentives for the capital to flow where economic growth needs to happen? Or perhaps member states such as Lithuania should focus on their own competitiveness, without much hope for a growth-driven agenda at the EU level?
To reflect on the challenges to EU’s and Lithuania’s competitiveness, WALLESS Managing Partner of Lithuania Dovilė Burgienė, alongside Eitvydas Bajarūnas, Marius Jurgilas, Mindaugas Ubartas, Edvinas Kerza, and Marius Dubnikovas, joined a panel discussion moderated by Justina Ilkevičiūtė.
Thank you to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, who brought together leaders from diplomacy, politics, academia, and business to the conference “The European Union – from a Peace and Prosperity Project to a Defence Union.”
