Leading parking operators and Consumer Rights Protection Centre enter memorandum to enhance the parking sector
Clearer rules, fewer misunderstandings – the parking services sector takes a step toward greater transparency and a more consumer-friendly environment.
To improve the quality of parking services and reduce confusion regarding penalties, leading parking operators and the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) have signed a memorandum aimed at enhancing the regulatory framework of the sector.
The memorandum seeks to ensure that information on parking rules, payment procedures, and contractual penalties is clear, transparent, and easily accessible to all users.
This initiative will help drivers better understand parking terms and avoid misunderstandings, while parking operators in building trust and aligning with consistent industry standards.
The memorandum has been joined by Cityparks Latvija, EuroPark Latvia, Mobilly, and the Latvian Car Rental Association, with the initiative remaining open for other operators who wish to adopt transparent and fair business principles.
