Criminal proceedings against client for alleged EU sanctions violation terminated

The Tax and Customs Police Department of the State Revenue Service has decided to terminate the criminal proceedings concerning a potential violation of European Union sanctions, recognizing that the WALLESS client – in Germany based company – had not committed a criminal offence. 

The criminal proceedings were concluded five months after WALLESS began representing the client during the pre-trial investigation. 

The client was represented by WALLESS Partner Sandis Bērtaitis and Senior Associate Laura Baumane.
