A New Milestone for Baltic Aviation: airBaltic expands its fleet with the 51st Airbus A220-300
Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has expanded its fleet with the 51st Airbus A220-300, marking another step in strengthening a modern and reliable aircraft portfolio.
The new aircraft (YL-BTA) is the second A220 delivered this year. Since 2020, airBaltic has operated exclusively with Airbus A220-300, simplifying daily operations and providing a more efficient and predictable service for more than 23 million passengers.
WALLESS assisted the lessors and owners of the aircraft delivered to airBaltic, providing legal support on the transaction structure and ensuring an efficient integration into the fleet. The arrival of the 51st A220-300 comes at a pivotal moment for the Latvian aviation market, as another local carrier winds down its operations and fleet stability becomes increasingly important for the region.
